Community Arts Development
The Earth Art Programs of The Menen Artistic Expressions of the Diaspora weave together environmental stewardship, spiritual grounding, and creative expression. Rooted in land, culture, and community, these programs nurture healing for individuals, youth, and the natural world.

Earth Art:Riverbank Restoration
Environmental Protection Advocacy for Our Youth
Riverbank Restoration became a focus of Earth Art initiative in response to Hurricane Helene's devastation to Western North Carolina's waterways. Blending environmental science with creative practices, the program uses native plants to promote environmental protection and advocacy, especially among inner-city youth.
Spiritual Grounding Retreats
Rest and Renewal in Nature
Spiritual Grounding Retreats provide restorative spaces for educators, caregivers, artists, organizers and community leaders. Retreats are held in natural environments to offer opportunities for reflection, ceremony and renewal. This program honors those who serve others.
Creating Beautiful Art Through Printing
Menen Press is the creative production arm of the Earth Art Programs.
Through hands-on printing practices, participants learn design, textile printing, and visual storytelling. Menen Press transforms ideas into tangible works that honor culture, tradition, and purposeful artmaking—connecting creativity with skill-building and economic empowerment.
